This notice explains how Agar & Co., Chartered Accountants (“the firm”, “we”) handles personal data collected through this website, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Information we collect
When you send an enquiry, call, email or message us on WhatsApp, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, phone number, email address and the content of your message. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss the services you have asked about.
- To prepare an engagement letter and carry out work if you appoint us.
- To meet legal, regulatory and professional obligations that apply to Chartered Accountants.
We do not sell your personal data or use it for unrelated marketing.
Sharing
Personal data is shared only where needed to provide the service you have requested (for example, filing with a government portal on your instructions), with our IT and email service providers, or where required by law or by a competent authority.
Retention
Enquiry details that do not lead to an engagement are deleted when no longer needed. Records relating to engagements are kept for the period required by applicable law and professional standards.
Confidentiality
As members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, we are bound by the confidentiality requirements of the ICAI Code of Ethics. Access to client information is limited to the people working on the engagement.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent you have given, or raise a grievance about how your data has been handled. Some records may need to be retained where the law requires it.
