MSME (Udyam) Registration in Jaipur
Udyam registration gives micro, small and medium enterprises formal recognition and access to a range of benefits, from priority-sector lending to delayed-payment protection.
Why register?
- Credit – MSMEs are eligible for priority-sector lending, and for collateral-free loans backed by CGTMSE. See government subsidy and credit schemes.
- Payment protection – buyers are expected to pay micro and small suppliers within the timelines set by the MSMED Act, and the Income-tax Act ties the deduction for such payments to those timelines.
- Schemes and subsidies – many central and state schemes require an Udyam registration.
- Tenders – some government tenders give preference or relaxations to MSMEs.
Classification
Enterprises are classified by investment in plant and machinery or equipment and by turnover. At present, a micro enterprise has investment up to ₹2.5 crore and turnover up to ₹10 crore; a small enterprise up to ₹25 crore and ₹100 crore; and a medium enterprise up to ₹125 crore and ₹500 crore. The limits are revised from time to time and we confirm the current position.
Documents and process
Registration is done online on the Udyam portal, and there is no government fee. The proprietor, partner or director’s Aadhaar, the enterprise’s PAN and, where applicable, GST details are needed, along with the business address, bank details, the date of commencement and the activity. The certificate is issued electronically. We prepare the application, select the correct activity codes and update the registration when your details change.
